About the Doctor

Dr. Whiteley grew up in the Houston area attending Spring Woods High School and later the University of Houston were he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in biology with honors. He graduated in 1978 from University of North Texas Health Science Center/ Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. He studied hard and graduated 1st in his medical school class with honors and received the Upjohn award of Academic Excellence for top graduate in his medical school. After completion of his internship at Oklahoma Osteopathic Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma, he studied at the School of Aerospace Medicine, Brooks Air Force Base. He then served in the Air Force as Chief Flight Surgeon at Laughlin Air Force Base in Del Rio, Texas. While in the Air Force he received both the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award and the Air Force Commendation Medal. He opened his family practice in Tomball in 1984 after his honorable discharge from the Air Force. He has served as past Chief of Family Practice and past Chief of Staff at Tomball Regional Hospital.

Dr. and Mrs. Whiteley have three sons. Mrs. Whiteley (Jeanell) works with Dr. Whiteley at Tomball Familicare as office manager. Dr. Whiteley has many interest and hobbies which include: family, the health and welfare of his patients, hunting, fishing, scuba diving, snow skiing, jet skiing, weight lifting, bicycling, computers and the internet along with many other hobbies.

He has staff privileges at Tomball Regional Hospital and Methodist Willowbrook Hospitals.
